Natalia's New York and Other Times stirs poetry into
a tee to seep gently. Delicious. AAAH! Here is
Russia inside New York.

Natalia Zaretsky writes English poetry that has Russian
soul and Jewish ecstasy hidden in each line-break and
assonance. Having arrived to the United States in her
middle age without knowing a single word of English
this brave and passionate woman has adopted English
to express her desire and wisdom in words that are both
beautiful and humane. There is equal measure of grief
and joy in her work -- her sorrows are tender and her
tenderness is thoughtful. Her blank verse is musical
and her music is memorable. I am grateful to her for
that.
